Global Shapers Tshwane Hub is happy to announce that we have just kicked off year two of our Financial Literacy Project! Last year we had a successful run at Phateng Secondary School, mentoring 50 grade 8 & 9 learners on basic financial literacy and hosting the entrepreneurship competition. This year we have the honour of adding Bona Lesedi Secondary School to the project.

Both schools are in their 2nd week of the project. Last weekend teams pitched their business plans to the panel and received their capital to start running their businesses. The Global Shapers will meet with the teams this Saturday, 7th July, to check in on the progress of the businesses and help teams solve any challenges they may have come across. We will be hosting the final session and awards ceremony on the 21st July, as part of our Mandela Day Celebrations. Stay tuned to our socials for updates!

If you want to learn more about how we run the project, nominate a school or join us please contact Rivonia at . We’re always looking for support and ways to grow.
