Professional science educator and sports coach.

Arnold Thabo Maudi is a 24 year old high school science teacher and a sports coach in numerous sporting codes in his hometown Mamelodi. He also serves as the chairperson of the Mamelodi schools sports committee where he facilitates and enables sports and athletics participation for under privileged children.

Arnold has been in the hub for a year and 7months

I joined the hub in order to use the platform to acquire skill sets and knowledge to amplify personal projects and it also provides a platform to give back to my community at a larger scale.

Being in the education space instinctively My vision for South Africa is having a state where youth from poor backgrounds, predominantly black youth get exposed to world class education systems and educational facilities where class, money or background do not play the slightest role in hindering access. Because I firmly believe education of the highest quality allows anyone to be empowered and find their feet in this information and technological era

Outside hub projects my focus lies in discovering talented young athletes and exposing them to different competitions and access to sports specialized schools and also facilitating sporting competitions and events in order to popularize sports as a lifestyle in townships.

A quote that really resonates in my life was made by Milton Berle who said “if opportunity doesn’t knock, build a door” because im a firm believer that opportunities are created through hard work and not by chance.
